What are WikiSlices?
WikiSlice as the name suggests is a slice of Wikipedia based on a particular topic.
WikiSlices make Wikipedia easy to explore. Wikipedia allows you to only search for information.
WikiSlices help you browse through this information.
While using Wikipedia, you may have felt the need to view related topics or sub-topics. When you
create a WikiSlice, the topics and sub topics are displayed prominently, so that you can quickly view
them. You also see popular pages related to what you are searching or browsing.
The most important feature of WikiSlices is that you can download it on your
desktop or laptop and access the information even when you are offline or on the go.
WikiSlices can be used offline with the help of the Webaroo software. If you don't have the
software, the software will be downloaded automatically when you download your first WikiSlice.

How do I download a WikiSlice?
Once you create a WikiSlice, on the sidebar you will see the number of pages contained in the WikiSlice.
You will also see a download button below that, if the number of pages are less than 2000. If the pages
are more, click on a sub-topic and you will be able to reduce the number of pages.
I created a slice, but where do I see the topic's main page?
Right at the top you will see an excerpt from the topic's main page. Towards the end of the excerpt is
a "More" link, click on it to view the Wikipedia page for it.
I have created WikiSlice but there's no way to download it, how come?
We don't let you download slices that contain more than 2000 pages. It takes way too much time.
You can click on relevant sub-topic and download, in that way you will also be able to limit the
unwanted content on your hard disk.
There's a let's surf button at the top, what does it do?
Nothing spectacular, it just throws a random page from the WikiSlice you are viewing. It's a nice
button to have if you are browsing through your pet topic. There's a certain fun in receiving random
recommendations and we thought you would like it.
What are these Sub-topics?
Sub topics are sub sets of the Wikipedia topic you are viewing. Click on one to explore it further.
It usually contains a part of the WikiSlice you are viewing. The different sub-topics themselves may not
relevant to each other, but they almost always have a strong connection with the slice you have created.
How random are these random picks?
We are glad you asked. They are random and do not in any way highlight the main topics in a WikiSlice.
They are put up there for serendipity, with the hope that you may find something you are looking for quickly.
